Wednesday Write-Up: Survey

We are heading back to Bangkok for a couple of days. We are going to do some shopping and hang out, and tomorrow night I pick up my mom from the airport! I am so excited I can barely stand it. This means a couple of things, 1) I will not have my laptop with me in Bangkok, hence the short post today, and 2) there will be posts of some fun and interesting things to do and see in Thailand as we will be taking my mom (and you as well) to see all that Hua Hin (and other parts of Thailand) has to offer.

Since I am writing this quickly (I still haven’t packed for our excursion today, oops), I figured I would survey you about what you would like to see on our blog. Here are my questions for you:

Would you like to see specific things in the pictures on my Monday Montage or should I do some theme days?

What kind of activities in Thailand would you like to read about here?

Do you have any suggestions on what would make my posts more exciting or interesting to you?

I am leaving the rest of this post up to you, my lovely friends and readers. I look forward to your replies!

  1. I would love to see the beaches I hear they are awesome! I would like to know if the street signs are in English at all? or is English fairly common? What does a typical neighborhood street look like?
And I hope you have a great family visit! I cant wait till my kids get old enough to travel like this so that I can go and visit them!

    • Those are all great questions! I will answer some of them here but also include some pictures next Monday!
Most street signs are in Thai and English (at least that I have seen). English is very common here, most Thai people that I have met speak at least a little English, most are pretty fluent and self taught. It’s pretty amazing actually.

  2. Ahhhhhh, give Tammy a big hug for me!!! So happy she is there!
I like hearing how the day-to-day regular life is handled. Like meals, pots/pans or what else, laundry, what is TV like over there, what are grocery stores like, what are the unusual items to us, but common there. Are the toilets different, toilet paper. Beds and bedding. Cleaning supplies and techniques….etc.
When I traveled in UK and Holland, I was constantly surprised by what I took for granted and thought would be universal but wasn’t.
I love pictures of neighborhoods and special interest places and funny signs.
You do a great job as is and I always look forward to what you and Chad have to say and show.
    Lots of love,
    Auntie Cyndie

    • I have been giving Mom many many hugs! I cannot believe she is here πŸ™‚ it’s wonderful.
I love the suggestions you gave, I actually love them so much I will probably use them as a template! Thanks so much Auntie! ❀
