The new year is just a couple days away, and for us here at And Three To Go that means that we have been traveling about in this wonderful world of ours for the past 9 months! It is hard to believe that we have been on the road that long, but looking back over the pictures we have taken, I realize that we have been making the most of all those moments along the way. So to bring in the new year, I am going to take this week and share my favorite photos of the places we have been since the beginning.
On a different, but still connected note, it has officially now been a full year since we started And Three To Go! I want to thank you all for following, sharing, and responding to our posts. It has truly been a pleasure and a blessing to get to know all of you and to include you in our life as we travel.
So here is to 2014, a new year of travel, friendships, family, and fun! Happy New Year everyone!
Our journey began in April of 2013, we visited Disneyland Anaheim, Austin, Texas, and Miami, Florida before leaving the country. We then spent the next 3 months traveling to Curacao, Portugal, Disneyland Paris, France, and Budapest, Hungary. These are my favorite pictures that I took from each place, if you would like to read my posts about these places, click on the links under the pictures. The next 3 months of our traveling will be featured in Wednesdays post, and then the final three months of 2013 will be featured in Fridays post. So make sure to follow our blog and feel free to share it.
On our way! Picture of all of us on the first flight of many leaving Sonoma County, California.

Austin, Texas, State Capitol building, Austin is now one of my favorite cities in America.
Miami, Florida… Chad and Zoë spending some time on South Beach, It was a pristine white sand beach, I wish we could have spent more time there.

Panoramic view of Cas Abou Beach in Curacao.
Chad and Zoë checking out the crabs in the inlet of Willemstad Curacao .
Graffiti Art in Lisbon, Portugal
The view of Lisbon from the Castelo de São Jorge
Porto, Portugal from one of their many beautiful bridges.
Lagos, Portugal from a sailboat on our way out to the ocean.
Zoë’s second birthday was spent in Disneyland Paris, here is a picture of the Phantom Manor.
The Chain Bridge in Budapest, Hungary. I must visit this city again for a longer period of time, I feel like we just scratched the surface of this gorgeous destination in the 8 days we were there.
These pictures sum up our first three months of traveling, make sure to check out the links below the pictures for more information and more tales of our travels. July to September’s pictures will be in Wednesdays post… Make sure to follow, subscribe, and share! Thank you all so much!
I am so envious of you! You traveled to so many countries within 8 months since April 2013? It’s amazing with your little one! Happy new year to you! Look forward to more of your posts!
I know, looking back through the pictures made me realize just how much we actually did. It’s kind of crazy how easy it was most of the time. Thank you and happy new year to you and your family! 🙂
Wow you did so much in the first 3 months 🙂 Yes the sand in Miami is great 🙂 I have never been to Portugal, but I hope one day I can visit. You are right a few days for Hungary is not enough 🙂 Also there are lots to see outside of Budapest. I will go back and read your Budapest adventures 🙂 Happy 1 year anniversary for your blog!
Where will you go after Thailand?
I would love to spend much more time in Hungary and see what is outside Budapest as well.
We are going to Kuala Lumpur definitely in January, and we would are trying to plan to go to Singapore, Tokyo, Taipei (again), Australia, back to California for a visit and then restart our travels again by going to South America. We will see how it all plays out in 2014. 🙂
What a lovely picture with the three of you! And good summery for somebody like me who only found your blog recently. How did you decide where to travel? And how long did you plan for the trip? Sorry, I am curious of great plans 🙂
No problem at all! Although I don’t know if you could call them great :), we mostly played it by ear, except for the first couple of months. The stops in the USA were places we were considering living in if we move back to the states. Curacao was because we wanted to start tan and relaxed before we headed to Europe. Most of the places we chose because we could use our airline points for flights or because we really wanted to go there. Our trip is indefinite, we are not sure where we will settle or if we ever will.
Here is the link to the main post about how we decided where to go http://wp.me/p2YQJ8-1q.
Thanks for leaving this link! I’ll be looking forward to Wednesday. It’s great to see your year of travels summarised like this. Really does give some perspective on how far you’ve come!
It does! It also gets me back in travel mode and makes me want to revisit the places we went (well most of them), and see every other place!

Beautiful! I would have enjoyed the traveling more years ago before my stroke.

Thanks for stopping by. I will surely check out your novella. Have a great day!
Susie sent me over from her party to yours. What an epic odyssey. You’re making a lifetime of memories for yourselves and (with a little documentation) for your lucky little girl. Surely there’s a book in there somewhere? I’m an American expat, currently living in a 1000+ year old castle in northern England, but over the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to travel through much of the world. It’s all a journey, and I can’t wait for the next stop!
Oh I cannot wait to check out your blog. Thank you for stopping by mine!
Living in a castle… I cannot even imagine, how awesome!
Congrats on your first year! Love your overview!
Thanks for bringing it to the party! I hope you have fun clicking on links from your comment section and mine. It’s a great way to make new friends!
Thank you! I have spent much of the evening finding and following blogs I found through your post! What a great idea. Thank you!
Excellent! Thanks for coming! In this case, the people really make the party!
Sent from Susie’s party… Love the beauty you’ve captured with each place you’ve visited. It’s been a while since I’ve done any major traveling. Thanks for bringing us with you via pictures. Enjoy your journey!
Thank you for stopping by!
